Lectures

Goal

Acquisition of practical and theoretical knowledge in the field of Agricultural and Food Engineering through work in a real business environment. Familiarization with modern technologies, machinery, equipment, and systems used in food production and processing, as well as with the basic functions of business organizations and the role of a mechanical engineer in design, development, and manufacturing processes. Development of competencies for the application and improvement of technical solutions in accordance with the principles of sustainable agricultural production and environmental protection.

Outcome

The student acquires practical and theoretical knowledge in the field of Agricultural and Food Engineering and develops the ability to apply modern engineering solutions in food production and processing. The student understands the concept of sustainable agricultural production and is capable of integrating knowledge from mechanical engineering, agriculture, and food technology in solving practical and research-related tasks, while gaining professional experience and establishing valuable professional contacts.

Theoretical teaching

Selected topics in the field of Agricultural and Food Engineering, delivered through practical activities and familiarization with modern technologies, machinery, and systems used in food production and processing.

Practical teaching

Practical work in industrial and research organizations in the field of Agricultural and Food Engineering, carried out in consultation with the course instructor. The internship includes familiarization with modern technologies, agricultural machinery, food production and processing systems, as well as the organization and operation of production and technological processes. During the internship, students maintain a work diary documenting activities, observations, and conclusions. Upon completion, they prepare and defend a written report in the form of a seminar paper.

Attendance requirement

Students enrolled in the Master's Academic Studies programme in Agricultural Food Engineering.
