NUMBER OF STUDENTS TO BE ENROLLED
Master Academic Studies - Mechanical Engineering
In the academic year 2026/2027, the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering will enrol students in the first year of the Master Academic Studies programme Mechanical Engineering in the following specialisation studies (modules), up to the specified number of candidates:

A total of 416 students will be enrolled in the Master academic studies programme in Mechanical Engineering out of whom 384 will be enrolled in the studies taught in Serbian as students funded from the budget of the Republic of Serbia, 22 as self-financing students, and 10 self-financing students will be enrolled in studies taught in English.
Classes are also held at the modules with fewer than 5 students, except for the module in Mechanics where the minimum number of students is 5.
At Master academic studies, courses that are taken are worth a total of 94 ECTS. The Course of Master’s thesis and the Master’s thesis are worth additional 26 ECTS.
Within each module, a list of mandatory and elective courses is provided.
The offer of elective courses by modules is updated every academic year with the aim of following the trends in the profession. At the beginning of each semester, the Faculty reserves the right to decide for which specialisation studies – modules and courses the classes will be held, based on the interest of candidates and available resources.
The administrative procedure related to the registration, development and defence of Master’s thesis is defined by the Rulebook.
Master Academic Studies- Industry 4.0
(the study programme is jointly organized by the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and the Faculty of Mathematics)
In the academic year 2026/2027, Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Faculty of Mathematics of the University of Belgrade enrol students in the first year of Master academic studies in the study programme Industry 4.0.
A total of 35 students will be enrolled in the Master academic studies programme Industry 4.0, out of whom 15 will be financed from the budget of the Republic of Serbia and 20 will pay tuition fee.
At Master academic studies, courses that are taken are worth a total of 105 ECTS. Master’s thesis – Research and Development and Master's thesis are worth additional 15 ECTS.
Within the programme, a list of mandatory and elective courses is provided.

Note:
By the decision of the Government of the Republic of Serbia, places have been allocated for students of Roma nationality (1 place) and students with disabilities (1 place) for both study programmes together.
The number of self-financing places will be reduced in those study programmes in which students of Roma nationality and students with disabilities obtain the right to enrol.
RIGHT TO ENROL IN MASTER ACADEMIC STUDIES - MECHANICAL ENGINEERING
The right of enrolment in the first year of Master academic studies – Mechanical Engineering is granted to:
1. The person who completed Bachelor academic studies at one of the faculties of the technical and technological sciences group, the Faculty of Physics, as well as the person who completed Bachelor academic studies at the Faculty of Science (department/module of physics) with at least 180 ECTS credits;
2. The person who completed integrated, i.e. Master academic studies, at one of the faculties of the technical and technological sciences group, the Faculty of Physics, as well as the person who graduated from the Faculty of Science (department/module of physics) with at least 300 ECTS credits;
3. The person who acquired higher education at the University of Belgrade – Faculty of Mechanical Engineering according to the regulations that were valid until the date of entry into force of the Law on Higher Education (“Official Gazette of RS”, no. 76/05, 100/07 – authentic interpretation, 97/08, 44/10, 93/12, 89/13, 99/14, 45/15 – authentic interpretation, 68/15 and 87/16) lasting less than eight semesters.
The right to enrol in the first year of Master academic studies – Mechanical Engineering of the module of Mechanics is also granted to the persons who completed Bachelor academic studies at the Faculty of Mathematics, as well as the candidates who graduated from the Faculty of Science (mathematics department/module) with at least 180 ECTS credits.
The right to enrol in the first year of Master academic studies – Mechanical Engineering of the modules of Weapon Systems, Motor Vehicles and Internal Combustion Engines is also granted to the persons who completed Bachelor academic studies at the Military Academy (the Military Mechanical Engineering study programme) with at least 180 ECTS credits.
The right to enrol in the first year of Master academic studies – Mechanical Engineering of the module of Weapon Systems is also granted to the persons who completed Bachelor academic studies at the Academy of Criminalistics and Police Studies with at least 180 ECTS credits, if they pass the entrance exam in this module’s courses.
For enrolment to the Mechanical Engineering study programme taught in English, candidates must have an upper-intermediate level of English (B2) in accordance to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR). This requirement is proven only by submitting an appropriate language certificate confirming their level of language proficiency or by having completed their previous education in English.
RIGHT TO ENROL IN MASTER ACADEMIC STUDIES - INDUSTRY 4.0
The right of enrolment in the first year of Master academic studies – Industry 4.0 is granted to:
1.The person who completed Bachelor academic studies at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering or some other faculty of the technical and technological sciences group with at least 180 ECTS credits;
2.The person who completed integrated, i.e. Master academic studies at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering or some other faculty of the technical and technological sciences group with at least 300 ECTS credits;
3.The person who acquired higher education at the University of Belgrade – Faculty of Mechanical Engineering according to the regulations that were valid until the date of entry into force of the Law on Higher Education (“Official Gazette of RS”, no. 76/05, 100/07 – authentic interpretation, 97/08, 44/10, 93/12, 89/13, 99/14, 45/15 – authentic interpretation, 68/15 and 87/16) lasting at least eight or less than eight semesters.
4.The person who completed Bachelor academic studies at one of the faculties of the sciences group with at least 180 ECTS credits;
5.The person who completed Bachelor academic studies at one of the faculties of the information technologies group with at least 180 ECTS credits;
6.The person who completed Bachelor academic studies at the Military Academy (the Military Mechanical Engineering study programme) with at least 180 ECTS credits;
7. The person who completed Bachelor academic studies at the Academy of Criminalistics and Police Studies with at least 180 ECTS credits, if they pass the entrance exam in mathematics.
CRITERIA FOR RANKING CANDIDATES
The ranking of candidates for the enrolment in the first year of Master academic studies is determined separately for each of the afore-mentioned study programmes based on the overall average grade, the duration of study at previous studies, and compatibility with the study programme that is enrolled.

When compiling the ranking list, the candidates who are enrolling for the first time in the first level of studies and at the University of Belgrade – Faculty of Mechanical Engineering are ranked first, and other candidates are ranked after them.
DEADLINES AND SUBMISSION OF COMPLAINTS
The Faculty posts the data on the registered candidates, the preliminary ranking list and, after the prescribed period for complaints, the final ranking list.

STUDENT ENROLMENT
The candidate has acquired the right to enrolment if he/she is ranked in the ranking list up to the number of students envisaged for enrolment by the Call.
The candidate can be enrolled in the study programme in the status of the student whose studies are financed from the state budget (a budget student) if he/she is ranked in the ranking list up to the number approved for the enrolment of the candidates whose studies are financed from the state budget.
The candidate can be enrolled in the study programme as the student who pays tuition fee (a self-financing student) if he/she is ranked in the ranking list up to the number approved for the enrolment of the self-financing students.
A Contract which regulates mutual rights and obligations is signed with the students enrolled in Master academic studies.

TUITION FEES
Master Academic Studies programme- Mechanical Engineering
Tuition fee for the students who are the citizens of the Republic of Serbia and who pay tuition fee for the Master academic studies – Mechanical Engineering in Serbian is 111,000.00 dinars (payable in up to ten instalments).
Tuition fee for the students who are not the citizens of the Republic of Serbia for the Master academic studies – Mechanical Engineering in Serbian is 2,400.00 euros (payable in up to ten instalments).
Tuition fee for the Master academic studies – Mechanical Engineering in English is 7,500.00 euros per academic year (should be paid upon enrolment). All students who will attend studies in English pay the tuition fee..
Master Academic Studies programme- Industry 4.0
Tuition fee for the students who are the citizens of the Republic of Serbia and who pay tuition fee is 180,000 dinars (payable in up to ten instalments).
Tuition fee for the students who are not the citizens of the Republic of Serbia is 2,400.00 euros (payable in up to ten instalments)..
PRE-REGISTRATION AND REGISTRATION OF CANDIDATES
Online pre-registration is MANDATORY FOR ALL CANDIDATES and will be conducted from September 14 to October 5, 2026, by accessing the following link https://www.mas.bg.ac.rs/upis/start – all the instructions are provided at the given address. Candidates who are unable to complete the online pre-registration on their own can complete the REGISTRATION in the hall of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering at the information desk on September 30, October 1, 2 and 5, 2026, between 10 AM and 1 PM.
REGISTRATION of candidates for both study programmes will take place on September 30, October 1, 2 and 5, 2026, between 10 AM and 1 PM at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering. Upon arrival at the Faculty, each candidate reports to the Information desk in the Faculty hall, where their required documentation for the application to the Call will be checked. After the verification, the candidate proceeds to the Student Affairs Office counter to complete the final application to the Call and receives a certified confirmation of the registration.
OTHER PROVISIONS
1. When applying for the Call, candidates should fill in the application form (downloaded from the website) and submit it to the Student Affairs Office.
2. Together with the filled-out application, candidates who must submit ORIGINAL DOCUMENTS for inspection, and submit UNCERTIFIED photocopies of the documents, as follows:
3. The proof of payment of the fee for registration expenses.
4. When applying for the study programme of Mechanical Engineering, the candidate specifies the wishes to enrol in the specialisation study (module) by priority. In the further course of the process of the Call, it will not be possible to change the priority of the wishes to enrol in the specialisation study (module) compared to the priority of the wish stated during the pre-registration.
For the expenses related to the registration process, candidates pay a fee in the amount of 4,000.00 dinars to the bank account of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering: 840-32848845-64 with the purpose of payment stated as Registration to the Call for enrolment in MAS and the payment code 151.
The candidate who completed the studies according to the regulations that were valid until the date of entry into force of the Law on Higher Education (“Official Gazette of RS”, No. 76/05, 100/07 – authentic interpretation, 97/08, 44/10, 93/12, 89/13, 99/14, 45/15 – authentic interpretation, 68/15 and 87/16), besides the diploma, submits a certificate of passed exams instead of a diploma supplement.
A candidate who has not been issued a diploma must submit a certificate of completion and a certificate of passed exams when enrolling, with the provision that he/she is required to submit to the Faculty, i.e. the University, the diploma and the diploma supplement of the completed previous level of higher education within a year at the latest.
A diploma of the completed first level of higher education at academic studies that a candidate acquired with the recognition of a part of the study programme of the first level vocational studies is considered valid for enrolment in the second and third level of studies only if the scope of the exams recognised from the study programme of vocational studies does not exceed 30% of the total scope of the study programme of academic studies at which the diploma was acquired (72/240 ECTS credits, or 54/180 ECTS credits) in accordance with the Rulebook on the Standards and Procedures for the Accreditation of Study Programmes.
The University, i.e. the Faculty that implements the study programme the candidate is enrolled in is obliged to verify the submitted higher education documents, and, if it is determined that the document was not issued in accordance with the valid regulations, the candidate does not have the right to enrol.
If it is subsequently determined that the document of the completed previous level of studies has deficiencies, a procedure for the annulment of enrolment is conducted, in accordance with the Law.
The candidate provides a statement (downloaded from the website) authorising the Faculty and the University to enter the personal data provided by the candidate into an electronic database and to use these data for generating necessary statistical information, providing requested data to the Ministry of Education, Science and Technological Development without personal identifiers, as well as that the data will not be accessible to unauthorised persons.
When applying, the candidates must submit a signed statement (downloaded from the website) declaring that they have not been enrolled in the first year as budget students at the level of studies they are applying for. All candidates are also required to sign a statement (downloaded from the website) declaring that they are enrolling for the first time in the level of studies and at the higher education institution they are applying for.
Application for the Call
The diploma and diploma supplement submitted during the application process will be considered acceptable higher education documents if they have been issued by an accredited higher education institution for an accredited study programme.
The candidates who have earned the right to enrolment submit the following:
At the time of enrolment, the candidates who completed their previous level of studies abroad also need to submit the Rector’s decision on the recognition of the foreign higher education certificate.
Candidates who are foreign citizens are required to submit to the Faculty/ University proof:
that they have health insurance for the academic year they are enrolling;
that they have a command of the Serbian language or the language in which the study programme is taught.
The candidate who has acquired the right to enrol and does not enrol within the prescribed timeline, forfeits the right to enrolment and another candidate will be enrolled instead of him/her, according to the determined order.
Enrolment
- The verified confirmation of application to the Call for enrolment;
- CERTIFIED photocopies of the documents and ORIGINAL documents for inspection;
- Birth certificate only for foreign citizens and candidates born outside the Republic of Serbia;
- Two photographs sized 4.5 x 3.5 (one for the ŠV-20 form and one for the student book);
- A filled-in and signed ŠV-20 form (the form can also be filled out on the computer, and the signed printed version is submitted to the Faculty with a photo glued in the designated place) – the ŠV-20 form can be obtained at the FME bookstore;
- A filled-in and signed student book, with the photo glued to the designated place in the student book (DO NOT GLUE THE FOIL). The student book should be bought at the FME bookstore
- Completed and signed contract regulating mutual rights and obligations between the student and the higher education institution (the contract can be obtained at the Faculty Bookstore);
- proof of payment of the fee for the costs of enrolment in Master academic studies, candidates pay a separate fee for each study programme they wish to enrol in, in the amount of 4,000.00 dinars, to the current account of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering number: 840-32848845-64 with payment code 152;
- the proof of payment of the first instalment of the tuition fee for the study programme Mechanical Engineering in Serbian for self-financing students;
- the proof of payment of the tuition fee for the study programme Mechanical Engineering in English in the amount of 7.500,00 euros in the RSD equivalent on the day;
- the proof of payment of the first instalment of the tuition fee for the study programme Industry 4.0 for self-financing students;
- Proof of payment to the Career Development Centre of the University of Belgrade;
- Proof of payment for the supplementary part of the tuition fee to the University of Belgrade;
- Other kinds of proof if necessary;
Students who are enrolled with the status of a student transferring to the Faculty and who have their examinations recognised must, upon enrolment, submit a Request for Recognition of Passed Examinations and proof of payment of 7,000.00, to the current account of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering number: 840-32848845-64 with payment code 106 and the purpose of payment stated as Recognition of Curricula. For each examination that is not recognised, students must pay 1,850.00 dinars per ECTS credit. The Request for Recognition of Passed Examinations, together with the proof of payment, should be submitted at the Student Affairs Office counter.
