STUDENT ENROLMENT

Enrolment of students according to the final ranking list in the third enrolment period will be carried out at the counters of the Student Affairs Office:

FOR THE STUDY PROGRAMME – BACHELOR (UNDERGRADUATE) ACADEMIC STUDIES - INFORMATION TECHNOLOGIES IN MECHANICAL ENGINEERING

Note: After enrolling in the first (I) semester of studies at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, a student does not have the right to withdraw from the Faculty until the beginning of the second (II) semester of studies, nor the right to a refund of tuition fees for the first semester.

For enrolment of students in the third enrolment period (if there are remaining available places) the date and schedule will be announced subsequently.

ENROLMENT OF STUDENTS FINANCED FROM THE BUDGET OF THE REPUBLIC OF SERBIA (STATE-FUNDED)

Candidates who obtain the right to enrol in this category submit:

1. A verified confirmation of application to the Call,
2. Original certificates (for inspection) and certified photocopies of certificates for all years of previously completed secondary school, as well as the original Diploma certificate of passing the final or matriculation exam (for inspection) and a certified photocopy of the Diploma certificate of passing the final or matriculation exam
3. A birth certificate only for foreign citizens and for all candidates born outside the Republic of Serbia
4. 2 (two) photographs sized 45 x 35 mm (one for the ŠV-20 form and one for the student book)
5. A filled-in and signed ŠV-20 form (the form can also be filled out online; the printed version must be signed and submitted to the Faculty with the photograph glued in the designated place). The ŠV-20 form can also be obtained from the Faculty Bookstore.
6. A filled-in and signed student book with photograph glued (do not glue protective foil); the student book is purchased at the Faculty Bookstore
7. A filled-in and signed contract regulating mutual rights and obligations between the student and the higher education institution (the contract can be obtained at the Faculty Bookstore);
8. A proof of payment of the fee for the costs of enrolment in Bachelor academic studies, candidates pay for each study programme they wish to enrol in, in the amount of 4,000 RSD, to the account number of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering 840-32848845-64 and payment code 162.
9. Proof of payment to the Career Development Centre of the University of Belgrade

Note: Candidates who intend to apply for accommodation in the facilities of the Student Centre should timely certify the photocopies of the certificates of completion for all four grades and the diploma on the passed final, i.e. graduation exam.

The candidate who has acquired the right to enrol and does not enrol within the prescribed timeline, forfeits the right to enrolment and another candidate will be enrolled instead of him/her, according to the determined order.

THE ENROLMENT OF STUDENTS WHO PAY THE TUITION FEE (SELF-FINANCING STUDENTS)

The candidates who have earned the right to enrolment in this category submit the following:

1. A verified confirmation of application to the Call for enrolment
2. Original certificates (for inspection) and certified photocopies of certificates for all years of previously completed secondary school, as well as the original Diploma certificate of passing the final or matriculation exam (for inspection) and a certified photocopy of the Diploma certificate of passing the final or matriculation exam

10. A proof of payment for the supplementary part of the tuition fee for University of Belgrade

NOTE: For foreign students who are self-financed, the additional part of the tuition fee for University of Belgrade is 2,500 RSD instead of 2,000 RSD.

11. A proof of payment of the first tuition fee installment:

Tuition fees are published on the website of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering ("Price list of studies and services when studying at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering").


ENROLMENT OF SERBIAN CITIZENS WITH FOREIGN SECONDARY SCHOOL CERTIFICATES

A citizen of the Republic of Serbia who obtained a foreign secondary school certificate, i.e., who completed secondary school abroad (or some grades of secondary school abroad) or completed the International Baccalaureate (IB) programme, can apply for enrolment in a study programme if their secondary school diploma is recognized.

Citizens of the Republic of Serbia who obtained foreign secondary school certificates or completed the International Baccalaureate programme and do not have a decision on the recognition of their foreign secondary school certificate can apply with a confirmation that the recognition process has started.

Specifically, citizens of the Republic of Serbia who obtained foreign secondary school certificates or completed the International Baccalaureate programme in the academic year 2024/2025 can apply in the second enrolment period for special state-funded places determined by the Government Decision for the citizens of the Republic of Serbia who obtained a foreign secondary school diploma or completed secondary school abroad. These candidates must also have a decision on the recognition of their foreign secondary school diploma or a confirmation that the recognition process has started.

Citizens of the Republic of Serbia who obtained foreign secondary school certificates in the academic year 2024/2025 and a decision on the recognition of their foreign secondary school diploma or a confirmation that the recognition process has started can apply in the first enrolment period for state-funded places determined by the Government Decision. In this case, the candidates cannot apply for special-state-funded places determined by the Government Decision.


ENROLMENT OF THE MEMBERS OF THE SERBIAN ETHNIC MINORITY FROM NEIGHBOURING COUNTRIES

Members of the Serbian national minority from neighbouring countries, as well as scholarship holders of the programme “Serbia for Serbs from the Region”, study in the Republic of Serbia under the same conditions as citizens of the Republic of Serbia under the same conditions as citizens of the Republic of Serbia, including the right to budget-funded education. When applying to the call for applications, candidates must also submit the Ministry’s decision on the recognition of foreign secondary school certificates or confirmation that the recognition procedure has been initiated.

A public certificate of completed secondary school obtained in Republika Srpska is not subject to the recognition procedure, except in cases where it concerns completion of the International Baccalaureate (IB) programme or another foreign secondary school completed abroad or in Republika Srpska.

These candidates also submit to the faculty, along with the required documentation, a written statement (the form can be found in the Information Booklet 2025) declaring that they are members of the Serbian national minority.

The neighbouring countries include: the Republic of Hungary, the Republic of Romania, the People’s Republic of Bulgaria, the Republic of North Macedonia, the Republic of Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Republic of Slovenia, the Republic of Croatia and Montenegro.

A member of the Serbian national minority from a neighbouring country, who is a scholarship holder under the programme “Serbia for Serbs from the Region”, shall, when applying to a higher education institution, also submit a certificate issued by the Ministry confirming their scholarship holder status.


ENROLMENT OF FOREIGN STUDENTS

A foreign citizen can be enrolled in a study programme under the same conditions as the citizen of the Republic of Serbia, if the obtained secondary school diploma is recognized in accordance with the Law and the general act of the University.

A foreign citizen pays tuition fee throughout their entire studies, unless otherwise stipulated by an international agreement. When applying for the Call, the candidate - foreign citizen must submit a decision from the Ministry on the recognition of their foreign secondary school diploma or a confirmation that the recognition process has started, if the secondary school was completed abroad.

When enrolling, the candidate who is a foreign citizen is obliged to submit to the Faculty the following evidence:

  • that he/she has health insurance for the academic year he/she enrols;
  • that he/she has mastered the Serbian language or the language in which the study programme is conducted.

The tuition fee for the studies in the Serbian language for foreign students amount to 1,800 Euros per year.


ENROLMENT OF PERSONS WITH DISABILITIES

Persons with disabilities can be enrolled through the Programme of affirmative actions for enrolling the persons with disabilities. , in addition to the required application documentation, the candidate also submits an opinion confirming the determination of the candidate’s disability status.

The deadline to initiate the procedure for determining the status of a candidate with a disability is July 15, 2025.

The procedure should be initiated by submitting a request to determine the status for persons with disabilities to the University Centre for Students with Disabilities, using the prescribed form, in accordance with the Rulebook on the method of determining the status of candidates and students with disabilities.

Persons with disabilities can take the entrance exam in the manner adapted to their abilities, that is, in the form suitable for them, in accordance with the objective capacities of the faculty.

A person with disabilities is obliged to explain in writing the way in which it is necessary to adjust the taking of the entrance exam and to submit this explanation when applying for enrolment in the study programme.

ENROLMENT OF THE MEMBERS OF THE ROMA ETHNIC MINORITY
Candidates who are the members of the Roma ethnic minority can apply for enrolment in the study programmes of the University of Belgrade through the Programme of Affirmative Actions for Enrolment adopted by the Government of the Republic of Serbia, implemented by the Ministry. This programme implies support for candidates when enrolling in the study programme, as well as during the course of studies.

Details on the enrolment of candidates belonging to the Roma national minority through the Programme of Affirmative Actions for Enrolment of members of the Roma national minority.

These candidates submit to the faculty, along with the required documentation, a Declaration stating that they are members of the Roma national minority (the form can be found in the Information Booklet 2025), and a Recommendation from the National Council of the Roma national minority.
