STUDY PROGRAMMES OPEN FOR APPLICATION

Bachelor (undergraduate) academic studies:

To the study programme Bachelor academic studies – MECHANICAL ENGINEERING

The number of students whose studies are financed from the budget of the Republic of Serbia (studies in Serbian): 520
-the number of students with disabilities: 4
-the number of Roma students: 4
-the number of students who are citizens of the Republic of Serbia who graduated from secondary school abroad in the school year 2025/26: 4
The number of students who pay tuition fee for the studies in Serbian: 100

The number of students who pay tuition fee for the studies in English: 10

Tuition fee for the academic year 2026/2027 for the students who are the citizens of the Republic of Serbia and who pay tuition fee for the studies in Serbian is 111,000.00 dinars (payable in up to ten instalments).
Tuition fee for the academic year 2026/2027 for the students who are not the citizens of Serbia for the studies in Serbian is 1,800.00 euros (payable in up to ten instalments).
Tuition fee for the academic year 2026/2027 for the studies in English is 5,000.00 euros (should be paid upon enrolment). All students who will attend studies in English pay the tuition fee.


To the study programme Bachelor academic studies – INFORMATION TECHNOLOGIES IN MECHANICAL ENGINEERING

-the number of students who are citizens of the Republic of Serbia who graduated from secondary school abroad in the school year 2025/26: 1
The number of students who pay tuition fee for the studies in Serbian: 30

Tuition fee for the academic year 2026/2027 for the students who are the citizens of Serbia and pay the tuition fee is 180,000.00 dinars (payable in up to ten instalments).
Tuition fee for the academic year 2026/2027 for the students who are not the citizens of Serbia is 1,800.00 euros (payable in up to ten instalments).


*The Government of the Republic of Serbia has not passed the Decision on the number of students to be enrolled in the first year of study programmes financed from the budget for higher education institutions founded by the Republic of Serbia for the academic year 2026/2027. If the number of approved budget places is lower than the specified number, those places will be redistributed and the number of self-financing places will be changed so that the total number of students enrolled at the study programme remains unchanged.


PREVIOUS EDUCATION REQUIRED

A person who completed four-year secondary education can be enrolled in the first year of Bachelor academic and Integrated academic studies implemented by the University, i.e. the Faculty.


PRE-REGISTRATION AND REGISTRATION OF CANDIDATES

Online pre-registration is MANDATORY FOR ALL CANDIDATES and will be conducted from June 10 to June 22, 2026, the link for PRE-REGISTRATION will be provided soon.

Candidates who are unable to complete the online pre-registration on their own can complete the PRE-REGISTRATION in classroom number 30 at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering on Friday, June 19, on Saturday, June 20, and on Monday, June 22, between 9:00 AM and 2:00 PM.

If, during the enrolment process at the institution, it is found that the original documents do not match those submitted during the online registration (forgeries), such candidates will not be allowed to enrol in the faculties of the University of Belgrade, and a criminal complaint will be filed with the competent prosecutor's office.

REGISTRATION of candidates for both study programmes will take place on Friday, June 19, on Saturday, June 20, and on Monday, June 22 from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering in Belgrade, Kraljice Marije 16. Upon arrival at the Faculty, every candidate reports to classroom number 30, where their required documentation for application to the Call will be checked. After the verification, the candidate proceeds to the Student Affairs Office counter to complete the final application to the Call and receives a certified confirmation of the registration.
REGISTRATION IS MANDATORY FOR ALL CANDIDATES IN THE ABOVE-STATED PREMISES OF THE FACULTY.


DOCUMENTS REQUIRED FOR APPLICATION:

When applying for the Call, a candidate submits the following (photocopies of documents are not returned):

  1. a printed filled-out and personally signed application to the Call for enrolment (the application form can be found in Information Booklet 2026),
  2. a photocopy of the birth certificate only for foreign nationals and for all candidates born outside the Republic of Serbia,
  3. ORIGINAL DOCUMENTS for inspection (see items 4 and 5),
  4. photocopies of the certificates of completion for all four years of secondary school (not officially certified, legible),
  5. a photocopy of the diploma on the passed final secondary school exam (not officially certified, legible),
  6. a filled out statement on the voluntary submission of personal data to an authorized person (the statement form can be found in Information Booklet 2026),
  7. the proof of payment of the fee for taking the entrance exam on the basis of the “Pricelist of studies and services at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering”,
  8. diplomas from state or international competitions for the candidates who, as third- and fourth-grade secondary school students, won one of the first three awards at the state or international competitions from the Calendar of the ministry competent for education in MATHEMATICS (a photocopy and the original for inspection).
  9. a signed statement that the candidate has not been enrolled in the status of a budget student at the first level of studies (the statement form can be found in Information Booklet 2026),
  10. a signed statement that the candidate is enrolling for the first time in the first level of studies and at the higher education institution he/she is applying to (the statement form can be found in Information Booklet 2026),
  11. the decision on the recognition of secondary school documents or a certificate that the recognition process has been initiated (for the candidates who have international secondary school documents or completed the International Baccalaureate program),
  12. foreign citizens applying for studies in Serbian must submit proof of their proficiency in the Serbian language,
  13. the candidates applying to the Bachelor Academic Studies – MECHANICAL ENGINEERING study programme for studies in English (citizens of the Republic of Serbia and foreign citizens) must submit proof of their proficiency in the English language,
  14. the candidates applying to the Bachelor Academic Studies – MECHANICAL ENGINEERING study programme for studies in Serbian and to the Bachelor Academic Studies – MECHANICAL ENGINEERING study programme for studies in English must fill out a Statement in which language (Serbian or English) they wish to take the entrance exam (the statement form can be found in Information Booklet 2026).

For enrolling in the study programme Bachelor Academic Studies – MECHANICAL ENGINEERING for studies in English, the candidate must have knowledge of the English language at an upper-intermediate level (B2) according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages. This is demonstrated by an appropriate language proficiency certificate or by previously completed secondary education in English.

Candidates who enrol through the Programme of affirmative actions must also submit the required documentation envisaged by the Call.

For taking the entrance exam and other expenses of the Faculty related to the registration process and taking the entrance exam, candidates pay a fee individually for the study programme they apply for in the amount of 4.000,00 dinars to the bank account of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering 840-32848845-64 with the purpose of payment stated as fee for the entrance exam for the appropriate study programme (state which one) and the payment code 141.

During the submission of the documents and application to the Call FOR THE APPROPRIATE STUDY PROGRAMME, the candidate will be issued a CERTIFIED CONFIRMATION OF APPLICATION TO THE CALL FOR ENROLMENT TO THAT PARTICULAR STUDY PROGRAMME and the number of application will be entered in it. This CONFIRMATION should be kept by the candidate as proof that he/she submitted the documents and the candidate must bring it with him/her to the entrance examination OF THAT PARTICULAR STUDY PROGRAMME!

The data on the registered candidates BY STUDY PROGRAMMES will be announced no later than June 22, 2026 by 10:00 PM on the bulletin board at the entrance to the faculty and on the Faculty website. Written complaints to the accuracy of the published data should be lodged no later than 23 June, 2026 by 12:00 PM at the Student Affairs Office of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering in Belgrade. The sitting schedule and the final list of candidates sitting arrangements FOR EVERY STUDY PROGRAMME will be announced on June 23, 2026 by 2:00 PM.


TAKING THE ENTRANCE EXAMINATION

The entrance exam in MATHEMATICS is taken at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering in Belgrade for the study programme Bachelor academic studies – Information Technologies in Mechanical Engineering on Wednesday, June 24, 2026, starting at 10:00 AM, and for Bachelor academic studies – Mechanical Engineering both for the studies in Serbian and the studies in English on Thursday, June 25, 2026, starting at 10:00 AM.

All candidates are required to be IN FRONT of the appropriate hall (in accordance with the announced seating arrangements) no later than 9:45 AM on the same day. Being late to the exam will not be tolerated.
The correct solutions to the entrance exam tasks in mathematics will be published (on the notice board at the entrance of the Faculty building and on the Faculty’s website) on the same day at 3:00 PM.

The candidates who, as third- or fourth-grade secondary school students, won one of the first three awards in MATHEMATICS at the republic or international competitions from the Calendar of ministry competent for education, do not take the entrance exam and obtain the maximum number of points at the entrance exam (60) on this account.

ENROLMENT OF FOREIGN CITIZENS

A foreign citizen can be enrolled in a study programme under the same conditions as the citizen of the Republic of Serbia.

A foreign citizen pays tuition fee throughout their entire course of studies, unless otherwise stipulated by an international agreement.

When applying for the Call, the candidate – a foreign citizen must submit a decision on the recognition of their foreign secondary school diploma or a confirmation that the recognition process has been initiated, if the secondary school was completed abroad.

When applying for the Call, the candidate – a foreign citizen who obtained foreign secondary school certificates or completed the International Baccalaureate programme in the Republic of Serbia must also submit a decision on the recognition of their foreign secondary school diploma or a confirmation that the recognition process has been initiated.

When enrolling, the candidate who is a foreign citizen is obliged to submit to the faculty the following evidence:

  • that he/she has health insurance for the academic year he/she enrols,
  • that he/she has mastered the Serbian language or the language in which the study programme is conducted.

Enrolment of the citizens of Serbia who have foreign secondary school certificates

A citizen of the Republic of Serbia who obtained a foreign secondary school certificate, i.e., who completed secondary school abroad (or some grades of secondary school abroad) or completed the International Baccalaureate (IB) programme, can apply for enrolment in a study programme under equal conditions as other candidates if their secondary school diploma is recognized.

Citizens of the Republic of Serbia who obtained foreign secondary school certificates or completed the International Baccalaureate programme and do not have a decision on the recognition of their foreign secondary school certificate can apply with a confirmation that the recognition process has started.

Specifically, citizens of the Republic of Serbia who obtained foreign secondary school certificates or completed the International Baccalaureate programme in the academic year 2025/2026 can apply in the second enrolment period for special budget-funded places determined by the Government Decision for the citizens of the Republic of Serbia. These candidates must also have a decision on the recognition of their foreign secondary school diploma or a confirmation that the recognition procedure has started.

Citizens of the Republic of Serbia who obtained a foreign secondary school certificate in the academic year 2025/2026 and who have a decision on the recognition of the diploma or a confirmation of the initiated recognition procedure may apply for enrolment within the quota defined for basic budget places determined by the Government Decision and within the first enrolment period. In this case, candidates may not apply for special budget-financed places determined by the Government Decision in the second enrolment period.


Enrolment of the members of the Serbian ethnic minority from neighbouring countries

Members of the Serbian ethnic minority from neighbouring countries, as well as the holders of the scholarship of the “Serbia for the Serbs from the Region” programme, are educated in the Republic of Serbia under the same conditions as the citizens of the Republic of Serbia, including the right to be financed from the state budget. When these candidates apply to the Call, it is necessary to submit a decision from the Ministry on the recognition of their foreign secondary school certificates or a confirmation that the recognition process has been initiated.

A public document certifying the completion of secondary school obtained in the Republic of Srpska is not subject to the recognition process, except in cases where the candidate completed the International Baccalaureate (IB) programme or another foreign secondary school that they attended abroad or in the Republic of Srpska.

When applying to the Call, along with the required documentation, these candidates also submit a written statement (the statement form can be found in Information Booklet 2026) in which they declare that they are members of the Serbian ethnic minority.

The neighbouring countries include: the Republic of Hungary, the Republic of Romania, the People’s Republic of Bulgaria, the Republic of North Macedonia, the Republic of Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Republic of Slovenia, the Republic of Croatia and Montenegro.

When applying to the Call, a member of the Serbian ethnic minority from a neighbouring country, who is a holder of the scholarship of the “Serbia for the Serbs from the Region” Programme, also submits to the higher education institution a confirmation of the scholarship holder status issued by the Ministry.


Enrolment of persons with disabilities

When applying to the desired study programme, the candidate who applies for enrolment to the study programme in the status of the candidate with disabilities, i.e. for enrolment through the Programme of affirmative actions for enrolling the persons with disabilities must submit, along with the required application documentation, an opinion on the acquisition of the status of the candidate with disabilities.

The deadline to initiate the procedure for determining the status of the candidate with disabilities is June 10, 2026.

The procedure should be initiated by submitting a request to determine the status of the candidate with disabilities to the University Office for Students with Disabilities, using the prescribed form, and in accordance with the Rulebook on the manner of determining the status of the candidates and students with disabilities.

Persons with disabilities can take the entrance exam in the manner adapted to their abilities, that is, in the form suitable for them, in accordance with the objective capacities of the faculty.

In order to exercise the right to take the entrance exam in a manner adapted to their abilities, a person with disabilities is obliged to explain in writing the way in which it is necessary to adapt the taking of the entrance exam and to submit this explanation when applying for enrolment in the study programme.

Enrolment of the members of the Roma ethnic minority

Candidates, the members of the Roma ethnic minority can apply for enrolment in the study programmes of the University of Belgrade through the Programme of Affirmative Actions for Enrolment implemented by the Ministry competent for education. This programme implies support for candidates when enrolling in the study programme, as well as during the course of studies.

Details on the enrolment of candidates, the members of the Roma ethnic minority are defined through the Programme of Affirmative Actions for Enrolment of the Members of the Roma Ethnic Minority.

These candidates submit to the faculty, along with the required documentation, a Declaration stating that they are members of the Roma ethnic minority (the statement form can be found in Information Booklet 2026) and a Recommendation from the National Council of the Roma ethnic minority.


Enrolment without entrance examination

The following persons can be enrolled in the first year of studies without taking the entrance examination:

  1. the person who acquired a high education degree at the academic studies of the first level, i.e. the person who acquired a university degree according to the regulations of the law that were valid until the entry into force of the Law on Higher Education (“Official Gazette of the Republic of Serbia”, No. 76/05, 100/07 – authentic interpretation, 97/08, 44/10, 93/12, 89/13, 99/14, 45/15 – authentic interpretation, 68/15 and 87/16);
  2. the student of another higher education institution who achieved at least 60 ECTS credits at a study programme of academic studies at another higher education institution, i.e. a student who has passed all first-year courses prescribed by the curriculum of Bachelor studies under the regulations that were valid until the entry into force of the Law on Higher Education (“Official Gazette of the Republic of Serbia”, Nos. 76/05, 100/07 – authentic interpretation, 97/08, 44/10, 93/12, 89/13, 99/14, 45/15 – authentic interpretation, 68/15, and 87/16) under the conditions prescribed by the faculty, i.e. the University. A student from another university, or another independent higher education institution, cannot enrol in the University, i.e. in any of its higher education units, if they have 60 or fewer ECTS credits remaining to complete the study programme at the institution where they are currently enrolled.
  3. the student of the faculty within the University who is enrolled in one study programme can be enrolled in the second study programme within the same faculty under the conditions determined by the study programme, i.e. in the manner of and according to the procedure determined by the general acts of the faculty;
  4. the student of the faculty whose status of the student has been terminated in accordance with Article 101, paragraph 7, points 2 and 3 of the Statute of the University (in case of dropping out or failure to enrol in the academic year), and who has earned at least 60 ECTS credits in the study programme.

The person who gets enrolled without an entrance exam can only be enrolled as a self-financing student and is not included into the approved number of students for a particular study programme.
If the public document, i.e. a diploma or a certificate of the accomplished part of the study programme, has been obtained at the territory of the Republic of Serbia, the decision on the recognition of the passed exams, i.e. ECTS credits, is passed by the Teaching-Scientific Council of the faculty.

The person who gets enrolled without an entrance exam submits:

  1. a written request for enrolment no later than the expiration of the second Call for enrolment;
  2. a request for the recognition of exams, the certificate of passed exams, the description (content) of passed exams certified by the faculty, the certificate of studying (for transfer from other higher education institutions), the certificate of graduation or diploma (for the enrolment of individuals who have acquired higher education), the decision on termination of the status of the student (for enrolment in cases of dropping out from studies and failure to enrol in the academic year), and the proof of payment for the procedure costs.

If the high-education document the candidate uses to apply for enrolment without the entrance exam was acquired abroad (unless acquired in the Republic of Srpska), it is mandatory to conduct the recognition procedure in accordance with the Law and the general act of the University. When applying, candidates are obliged to submit to the faculty a confirmation of the initiated recognition procedure, along with other documentation.

In the case of persons submitting a foreign higher education certificate to prove the accomplishment of a part of a study programme at a foreign higher education institution, for the purpose of applying for enrolment in Bachelor academic or integrated academic study programmes, and in accordance with Article 96 of the Statute of the University of Belgrade (“University of Belgrade Gazette”, No. 201/2018, 207/2019, 213/2020, 214/2020, 217/2020, 230/2021, 232/2022, 233/2022, 236/2022, 241/2022, 243/2022, 244/2023, 245/2023, 251/23, 258/24, 260/25, and 262/25), it is necessary to initiate the recognition procedure no later than June 1, 2026, in order to determine eligibility for enrolment on these grounds.

When applying for the call, the candidates must submit a diploma and diploma supplement, i.e. a certificate of graduation accompanied by a certificate of passed exams issued by an accredited higher education institution and study programme.

Persons who have the right to enrol without taking the entrance exam can exercise this right if the faculty has spatial and other conditions, which is decided by the Dean.

The deadline for the completion of enrolment of the candidates who are enrolled without the entrance exam is October 14, 2026.
